Private label household chemicals - what does production under your own brand look like?

At Spartan Cleaner, Private Label means producing laundry gels under the customer’s brand. The project can be based on our formula, the customer’s specification or a solution developed jointly.

PRIVATE LABEL STARTS WITH CLEAR REQUIREMENTS

Before the first sample is produced, the target market, product variant, packaging format and expected volume need to be defined. These decisions determine the rest of the project.

This is also when the formula-development model is agreed. The customer can use our solution, provide their own specification or develop the product jointly with us.

THREE WAYS TO START

Not every Private Label project starts from the same point.

OUR FORMULA

A good option if you want to start from an existing product base and focus on the variant, capacity, packaging and preparing your own brand.

CUSTOMER SPECIFICATION

If you already have defined product requirements, we can assess them against production capabilities and prepare the next project stages.

JOINT DEVELOPMENT

If the project is at an earlier stage, we can move together from the initial assumptions to a solution that is then verified through samples.

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE STEP BY STEP?

Once the requirements are agreed, the project moves through the preparation and production stages.

1. Define the product and specification

We define the gel variant, capacity, target market, product requirements and planned volume.

2. Samples and evaluation

Samples are prepared for testing and evaluation. This is the stage for agreed adjustments before serial production starts.

3. Packaging and production preparation

Packaging, label and the materials required for the production batch are agreed.

4. Production and quality control

Once the project is approved, production begins. The finished batch undergoes quality control and receives the relevant quality documentation.

5. Delivery

The finished product is prepared for collection or delivery according to the agreed logistics model.

WHAT SHOULD YOU PREPARE BEFORE THE FIRST CONVERSATION?

The most useful information includes the target market, desired gel variant, preferred capacity, planned volume and whether you already have your own product specification.

You do not need a finished technical project. However, the more that is known about the target product and sales channel, the faster a suitable implementation route can be assessed.
